Monthly Community Workday – Volunteers Needed!

Please join us for our Monthly Community Workday as we maintain and build out this great community garden space. 

Volunteers of all skills and abilities are needed!

Recent activities have included installing a storage system, water proofing compost bays and benches shredding compost material, painting, and weeding and mulching. There will be lots of fun things to do for all ages and skill levels. Morning treats provided.

The beautiful quilt below was donated by skilled quilters Tina Nord and Aleks Needles, and is being raffled to raise money to improve our garden facilities. The quilt will be on display during our October 5th Community Workday, and raffle tickets will be available for sale. It is queen size (86 in. x 86 in.) and made from all cotton materials plus light wool breathable batting. The winner will be selected by drawing at noon on November 2 in the Emerson Avenue Community Garden. The winner does not need to be present.

We are raising money for capital improvements to bring our space into ADA compliance, create walking paths, add seating areas and enhance lighting. We are so super grateful for this donation and hope that you’ll buy raffle tickets to support our Garden. This quilt would make a terrific gift!

The Emerson Avenue Community Garden Club is a 501(c)(3) tax exempt organization. All donations are tax deductible to the fullest extent allowed by law.
