In July, students and several adults from Rita Walters Learning Complex visited our garden. They were participating in a summer enrichment program.
These curious, enthusiastic students asked lots of questions as they tasted , smelled, and felt many leaves, flowers and vegetables in our garden. Several plot holders generously shared their bounty.
We introduced them to the importance of urban gardening, regular and worm composting, pollinators, and plants here at EACGC . Garden guides were Audrey , Marti, Al, Claude, Michael, and Karen.
The children also enjoyed planting succulents to take home.
